My desire is to connect with you, the world, and what we present in a moment of time.  It is within this desire that my love for the canvas arose.  It is the origin from which I expound my creativity and my life.

  I strive to represent life as light represents it.  I want to create images that portray not only the subject matter, but the essence beyond them.  That is to not only capture what we see as an apple, an ear, an elbow or park bench, but to allow the viewer to feel the core, the lope, the bend, or the wood.  Beyond lines and color or shapes and planes, it is the whole effect of light that creates the essence I strive to obtain.
